Prayer Guide for the Week of 02/22
Below are this week’s prayer focuses.
Thursday, February 22
Thank God for His deep, unfathomable love for us. Pray that this love would overflow in the way we treat one another—so that as a broken world looks at us, they see something attractively countercultural.
Friday, February 23
Ask yourself, am I living my life for God's glory and the good of others, or am I being driven by other things—things like fear, need for approval, love of comfort and ease, etc.?
Remember what Jesus has done for you, then ask Him to align your life by providing for you, in Him, what you are looking for in these other things.
Saturday, February 24
Pray for the G family as they to prepare to take the gospel to SE Asia.
**This month we’re writing encouraging notes and prayers in a Bible that we’re going to give to the G’s in March. So as you pray, as the Holy Spirit brings to your mind certain Scriptures or words, make a note of them so that you can write these things in their Bible on Sunday.
Sunday, February 25
Ask God pour out His Holy Spirit upon our church in such a way that it is empowered, beautified, and returned to a state of New Testament normalcy (i.e., Acts 2:42-47, 4:31-35, 11:19-30).
Monday, February 26
Prayerfully think through some practical ways you can do good to a neighbor, co-worker, or someone around you in need this week. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead us in this and empower us to show genuine interest, hospitality, and love to those around us.
Tuesday, February 27
Ask God to open a door for our church to be able to gather in a place where our gospel can be lived out and transformative to the surrounding community. Pray for potential partnerships.
Wednesday, February 28
Ask plainly and simply that many who hear the good news about Jesus through our church would believe it. Then ask God to place people in our lives and at our church gatherings who need to hear this good news.
