Prayer Focuses for 06/14-06/20

Below are this week's prayer focuses.  

Thursday, June 14

Pray for someone in your City Group who you do not know very well, then prayerfully think through practical ways that you can get to know them better. 

Friday, June 15

Recall Scriptural truths about God and stories of His past faithfulness from your life, then spend time in prayer thanking Him. 

Saturday, June 16

Thank God that He has given you a privileged role: He has made you an ambassador, a representative of Jesus' kingdom in this world (2 Corinthians 5:18-20).  Ask God to give you words and opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus with others. 

Sunday, June 17

Ask God to draw us closer to Him and to each other through Sunday’s worship service. 

Monday, June 18

Thank God for welcoming all kinds of people into His family; pray that our church would too.  Ask God to open our eyes to the diversity (all kinds of diversity) of our city, and to use us to reach people both like us and not like us.  

Tuesday, June 19

Ask God to make us a people who delight in Him as the greatest treasure of all.

Wednesday, June 20

Spiritual gifts help us build each other up (Ephesians 4:16). Ask God to give us specific spiritual giftings for growing and building up our church. Pray that those who are on the fringes of church life would come to see the essential role they can play.
