Prayer Focuses for 03/01-03/07

Below are this week's prayer focuses. 

Thursday, March 1

Because we want to be a people who truly pray, “hallowed be Your name” and “Your kingdom come” (Matthew 6:9-10), ask God to align the desires of our hearts with the desires of His heart.

Friday, March 2

Ask God to increase our dependence upon Him in every area of our lives, so that we can be a people who continually live by faith and continually trust Him for empowerment.  Confess areas of your life where you are not completely trusting Him, and surrender these parts of your life to Him.   

Saturday, March 3

Pray for the G family.  Their kids are sick right now, and as a result, sleep is difficult for the whole family.  Pray for God to heal their sicknesses and for God to give the whole family rest so that they can get the most out of their time in training. 

Sunday, March 4

Ask God pour out His Holy Spirit upon our church in such a way that it is empowered, beautified, and returned to a state of New Testament normalcy (i.e., Acts 2:42-47, 4:31-35, 11:19-30).   

Monday, March 5

Ask God to place us in situations this month where questions get asked that lead to conversations about Jesus.  Pray that when this happens, the Holy Spirit would free us from anxiety and give us the words to say.

Tuesday, March 6

Ask God to make us a people who delight in Him as the greatest treasure of all.

Wednesday, March 7 

Ask God to help us build each other up (Ephesians 4:16).  Ask Him to give us specific giftings for growing and building up our church.  Pray that those who are on the fringes of church life would come to see the essential role they can play.
