Prayer focuses for 04/05-04/11

Below are this week's prayer focuses.  

Thursday, April 5

Pray for someone in your City Group who you do not know very well, then prayerfully think through practical ways that you can get to know them better. 

Friday, April 6

Recall Scriptural truths about God and stories of His past faithfulness from your life, then spend time in prayer thanking Him. 

Saturday, April 7

Spend time praying for the G Family.  They have specifically requested prayer for these three things:

• Pray for their kids to return to their normal sleeping patterns.
• Pray that their time before starting language school (2 weeks) would be utilized well.
• Pray for them to make time for prayer and time in the Word.

Sunday, April 8

Ask God to draw us closer to Him and to each other through Sunday’s worship service. 

Monday, April 9

Thank God for welcoming all kinds of people into His family; pray that our church would too.  Ask God to open our eyes to the diversity (all kinds of diversity) of our city, and to use us to reach people both like us and not like us.  

Tuesday, April 10

Ask God to make us a people who delight in Him as the greatest treasure of all.

Wednesday, April 11

Spiritual gifts help us build each other up (Ephesians 4:16). Ask God to give us specific spiritual giftings for growing and building up our church. Pray that those who are on the fringes of church life would come to see the essential role they can play.
